  • First Berkshire Fleet List: 43835 officially transferred from Slough to Bracknell today. 41167/8 were transferred to First Cymru on 26th. Thanks to Mat Wooll for this.


  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 739 received a MegaRear for Chatham Place (cross dressing purple shoes) last month, similar to that on 471 but with purple instead of pink shoes.
  • Reading Transport MegaRears: New photo of rear on 739 added
  • Countywide Travel Fleet List: The coaching arm of the company was subcontracted to Moretons from sometime around June this year, pending its sale. NIB 7625, YJ51 EKK and FY55 BXN were operated on hire to Moretons, whilst R114/163/164 GNW were purchased and soon sold with R163/4 GNW going directly in exchange for Berkhof Axial YJ07 JMO without being operated.   • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: Short term loan Tridents LK51 YCD/M have been returned off loan. The recently acquired Countywide operations have been merged with the Top Travel branded vehicles to create Countywide Top Travel. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.



  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 1031-6 are to be registered YN57 FWG/H/J/K/L/M and are due to arrive shortly. Scania OmniLink demonstrator YN07 LHO departed yesterday. 708 has been repainted into the new Newbury livery, and is to enter service there on route 32 on Monday 29th. John Nike Colourbus 457 is likely to return to Reading in return, along with MetroRider 630 off loan. 931-6 are to be repainted white and will carry promotional material for the various fare deals and tickets available in Reading.   • First Berkshire Fleet List: 42656 has Overground 58 branding
  • Horseman Coaches: Link to the new official Horseman Coaches website added
  • Oxford Bus Company Fleet List: 636 has been repainted into red Oxford Bus Company livery



  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: The new Solos for Leamington are due to enter service on 12th November on route 66, renumbered G1. They are reported to be 47508-18, registrations KX57 KGA/E/F/G/J/K/N/O/P/U/FZ making a total of 11 instead of 10.



  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 475 has been repainted into Quality Travel silver livery.
  • Baileys of Newbury Fleet List: New are Irisbus 397E / Beulas Stergo 'e' LK 03 KRE acquired from Grangeville, Gravesend and PN05 CNC from Holmeswood Coaches. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Courtney Coaches Fleet List: New are Optare Solos YJ57 EKK/H for services being taken over from First in the Bracknell area, with reportedly more on order. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Countywide Travel Fleet List: The coaching arm of the company has been acquired by Weavaway in a separate deal to that with Moretons. 5, 81 and 91 have been included as part of the deal. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Horseman Coaches Fleet List: The last seven new Volvo B12B / Plaxton Panthers have been registered RX57 GXL-P/R/S. Also new are Toyota / Caetano Optimo V RX57 GXT-W. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Reading & Wokingham Coaches Fleet List: New is Dennis Javelin / Neoplan R329 VJO from Coaching International, Whitwick. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: NIB 7625, YJ51 EKK and HJ52 OKL have been acquired from Countywide Travel. New are MAN 14.220 / MCV Evolutions AE57 FBA/B. C1-4 OXF and LUI 9691/3/4/5 have all now been sold. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Woodley Travel Fleet List: New since June are Dennis Javelin / Duple F875 RFP from Watts, Dorchester, Setra S315 W401 HOB from Amport & District, Thruxton, DAF SB3000 / Van Hool Alizee L289 MJH from Weavaway Travel, Volvo B10M / Jonckheere WIB 7190 from  Baker, Hampton, Volvo B10M / Jonckheere G143 MNH from Heather, Ruckinge and Iveco 45C13 / Crest BU53 AKY from Bailey, Bledow Bridge. Withdrawn and sold are P959 CBV and W12 SCC along with previously unreported H8 WTR. MAN 18.310 / Noge R253 EMV was acquired in July 2007 and sold in September 2007.   • Reading Transport Fleet List: 701 has a new MegaRear for EasyJet. Thanks to James Cusworth for this.
  • Countywide Travel Fleet List: 91 has been withdrawn and sold to Weavaway Travel.
  • First Berkshire Fleet List: 23011 has returned from repaint into Greenline livery and awaits vinyls. Thanks to Ian Mihell for this.
  • Thames Travel Fleet List: Four MAN / MCV Evolutions are on order for delivery before Christmas.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: Ikarus YJ51 EKK has been acquired from Countywide Travel / Moretons. Thanks to Michael for this. It is shortly to be converted to 70 seats and reregistered X70 OXF. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this. New is MCV Evolution AE57 FBA in electric blue with Southern Railroad Company fleetnames.

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: Ethanol powered Scania OmniCity Double Deck demonstrator YN07 LHD has arrived from London, and is to enter service on the 17 on Monday. It is accompanied by a fuel tanker at the depot. Despite the new Scanias for Reading being delayed until January, 708 is to go to North West Bus and Coach for repaint into Newbury livery next week. Once done a Metrobus will return from Newbury to Reading until the new Scanias arrive. Following that 709-11 are likely to follow.
  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 121 has returned from North West Bus and Coach repainted into the new green and silver Newbury Buses livery. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Reading Transport Former Vehicles Fleet List: The remains of scrapped MetroRider 614 were finally removed from Reading last week, well over four years after it was withdrawn from service.
  • Reading Plaxton Paramounts: Additional detail on the history of 203 added. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: Dennis Tridents LV51 YCD/H arrived on loan on 3rd, and are expected to stay until the middle of the month. YCM was originally supplied, but was replaced with YCD upon failing in service the next day. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.



  • First Berkshire Fleet List: 41165/6 transferred to First Hampshire on 24th August. 64817 was withdrawn on 17th September and 46922 on 19th September. 64798 was withdrawn from service on 20th September and 64796 on 27th for conversion into driver training vehicles. Thanks to Mat Wooll for this.
