31-05-06:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 512, 519 and 520 have now transferred to Newbury. Thanks to Steve White for this.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: Withdrawn Oxford 40108/10, Witney 40654/7/8, and Banbury 52037 have all been sold recently, most, if not all to companies external to Stagecoach and are in the process of being collected. 40108 is reported to be going to be converted into a motor home. The remaining withdrawn Mercedes 709D 40172 is to be converted into a second B16F staff transport vehicle. Oxford 42376/586/588 and Banbury 42624 are to be withdrawn from 4th June following the expected entry into service of the new Optare Solos at Oxford and the associated service changes. 42383 will transfer from Oxford to Banbury to replace 42624. The two new crew vans at Oxford are registered OU06 UPP and OU06 URZ, whilst the third example has still to arrive.

30-05-06:

  • Thames Travel Fleet List: The first of the new Scania / East Lancs Esteems for route X39 entered service today. It arrived over the weekend registered PF06 ENO and wears the base colours of the new company livery.
  • Thames Travel Fleet List: Two more Esteems were delivered today registered PF06 ENM/N, and the last is expected to arrive shortly registered PF06 ENL. Thanks to Malcolm Crowe for this.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: DAF / VanHool LUI 9694 has now arrived already reregistered C3 OXF. R19 CES has passed to Moseley, Wellington. It was due to be reregistered back to T908 LKE before sale, but still may be done there. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.

  • News Page: A fifth Routemaster XYJ 427 (RM1185) has also now appeared in Oxford

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: The remaining Olympians 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 311, 313 all departed for Ensign Bus on 26th, ending Olympian operation at Reading
  • Reading Transport MetroRiders after RTL: 627 has passed from Ensign (dealer) to North West Travel, Liverpool
  • Weavaway Travel: New photos of YN55 PZS and  WA06 GSV added. Thanks to Peter Coney for these.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: Seven further VanHool Alizées are expected over the summer to set up a new operating base at Abingdon under the Oxford International trading name. Thanks to Route One magazine for this. They will be DAFs LUI 9691/4/5 and Scanias N170/1 AAG, N367/8 JJT all ex-Holmeswood and to be reregistered C1/3-8 OXF. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this. X70 OXF and two of the Volvo B9TLs are likely to join them at Abingdon.

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 1029 and 1030 were in service by 22nd May. Thanks to James Cusworth for this. 928 has lost its MegaRear for the Oracle (Two Young Ladies - cocktails) in favour of fleet livery.
  • Reading Transport Vehicle Types: Totals updated to 201 vehicles (137 Reading, 36 Newbury, 28 Goldline) plus 10 to be withdrawn from Reading
  • Reading Area Bus Routes: Route descriptions updated with additional routes now low floor operated, and frequency guide updated for 27th March changes
  • Oxford Area Bus Routes: Final details of the 4th June service changed added and route descriptions updated
  • Thames Travel: New photo of 833 in the new fleet livery added
  • Weavaway Travel: New company logos for Weavaway, Haywards, Top Travel and Oxford International added
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: LUI 9693 has been reregistered C2 OXF

  • Courtney Coaches Fleet List: The second Enviro 300 has arrived also unregistered. Both wear a metallic grey livery. Thanks to Ian Mihell for this.

  • Courtney Coaches Fleet List: One of the new Alexander Dennis Enviro 300 / East Lancs has arrived with the new Esteem styling. It awaits registration. Further details on RX06 WRU are that is a DAF DB250 in plain white livery with Sony lettering on the front and Motorola and Fujitsu on the side. Y812 KDP is in a silver/grey livery with no reference to New Square Park. Thanks to David Nutton for this.
  • Oxford Bus Company Fleet List: 803 has been refurbished and repainted into City 5 livery
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 34112/3 arrived at Nuneaton from London today but require centre door removal and repaint. It is understood that several of these vehicles are expected for eventual service in Nuneaton. Thanks to Tim Moss for this.

23-05-06:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 82 was withdrawn possibly as early as 7th May, and departed for Shamrock Buses on 19th or 20th. 12, 14-17, 311, 313 were scheduled for withdrawal today after spending the last couple of weeks parked together for use only as a last resort. They are to be decommissioned over the next two days. 511 transferred to Newbury on 17th or 18th May in return for 502 which is now withdrawn. 518 and 519 have now received Newbury livery ready for transfer and 512/3 are currently being treated. Thanks to Brian Coney for this. 465 has received incorrect fleet numbers 456 over the weekend.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: As expected 47106 arrived at Oxford on loan from Devon today, and 18054/5 went on loan to Devon in return. 13631 was only on loan to Nuneaton and returned home several weeks ago.

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: A white Ford Transit van has been acquired for the ancillary fleet. The only details known at present are that is has a 51-registration and old Reading Buses logos.

  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: YN06 CVX, WA06 GSU, WA06 GSV are confirmed as being in electric blue livery with Weavaway fleetnames.

  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: New is ex CMB Hong Kong MCW Metrobus OIL 4201 whilst B10 MNX has gone to Moseley (dealer). YN53 EHZ has been reregistered X70 OXF. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: Two additional crew vans have arrived at Oxford, one on 18th and one today. A further example is expected next week. They are Ford Fiestas and replace vans used on hire.

  • News Page: The fourth Routemaster in Oxford is now confirmed as AST 416A (RM191) which is former Reading Mainline No.11.
  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 912 returned to Reading from loan to Newbury on 12th, whilst it looks like 511 will be the next Delta to move to Newbury. Thanks to Brian Coney for this. 1022-25 entered service today.
  • Stewarts of Mortimer Fleet List: Autobus Nouvelle 2 FX03 GKY has arrived on short term loan pending delivery of a new 24-seater next week. Thanks to John Wheeler for this.

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 832 was in service today. Thanks to James Cusworth for this. 508 has returned to Newbury, in part to help create some extra space whilst all of the new buses in Reading are being prepared. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Reading Transport Scania OmniDekkas: 829 arrived on 2nd May, 828 on 4th, 830/2 on 5th and 834 on 9th. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Reading Transport Optare Deltas: 516 transferred to Newbury on 5th May, photo of 516 in Newbury added. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Reading Transport Wright Solars: 1027/9 arrived on 2nd May, 1028 on 5th May and 1030 on 6th May. Thanks to Brain Coney for this.
  • Countywide Travel Fleet List: R114 GNW is now in Countywide livery and bears fleet number 90. Thanks to David Gray for this.

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 828-30/32, 1027-30 have arrived this week leaving only 834 the only new vehicle outstanding. 827-33 have now received branding for routes 23/24 and appear to be virtually ready for service. Meanwhile 82 has been delicensed and 508 has also been in the yard at Reading since last working on 3rd. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.

  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: Bova Magiqs WA06 GSU/V arrived last week whilst B10 MTT and W19 CKY were sold. W19 CKY was reregistered back to W341 MKY before sale, but B10 MTT retained its mark. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Oxford Bus Company Fleet List: 70 and 71 have returned from loan to Solent Blueline to operate the new summer timetable on the X70. Meanwhile 9, 10 and 12 appear to be officially regarded as only being on loan Birmingham Coach Company.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 18504 is the unbranded Nuneaton Trident not 18505 as previously assumed

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 827/31/33 and 1021-6 have all now arrived and are awaiting branding, 827/31 arriving on 25th, 833/1021/22 on 26th, and 1023-6 on 28th. 925 has a new MegaRear for Check-a-Trade virtually identical to the one it wore for about two weeks during April, and 927 has lost its MegaRear for the Oracle (Two Young Ladies - cocktails).
