  • Reading Transport Fleet List: Delivery of Newbury 6-12 has been delayed by two weeks. Enviros 970-3 are to be returned to their leasing company on 30th September, so four vehicles from Reading are to be used on loan along with 942 and the Solos until the Scanias arrive. Thanks to Richard Aldous for this. If 1-5 arrive in Reading this month as planned, 961-4 seem to be likely candidates for the loan.
  • Reading Optare Vectas: 803 has been noted at Blackpool Design Associates (a company specialising in non-PSV conversions) painted all black. Thanks to Paul Turner for this.

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 514 has now entered service at Newbury in normal (not new) Newbury Buses livery. The note on 29th September should have stated that 632 has been used on the Theale Vodafone service from time to time, not 630. Thanks to David Wilder for this.
  • Reading Transport Optare Deltas: 508 has passed from Ensign (dealer) to Harris Coaches, Blackwood. All ten have now found new homes.
  • Reading Transport Optare Excels: 964 received LED displays by 15th August 2006
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: Oxford 29615 has been withdrawn for scrap. Leamington 14517 has been withdrawn, and 47106 has been returned from Leamington to Devon. 34119/20/21/22/23/33 have transferred from London to Warwickshire reserve, whilst 34175-9 have arrived ready for next month.

  • Reading Area Operators: New photo of Baileys FM02 KUR added
  • First Berkshire Fleet List: 42644 has been in use at Slough recently and 60162 is now in service at Bracknell. Thanks to Stephen Le-Bras for this. List converted to Excel format.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: New on 15th was Scania K114EB4 / Berkhof YN56 EZW with Oxford International fleet names. The last two Condors B10 MDC/MKC have finally been sold to Soul, Olney. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.

  • News Page: Open Top Conversion of 703 with photos from Richard Sharman.

  • News Page: Driver Training Ready for Latest Scanias with photo of OmniLink demonstrator. Thanks to Paul Hilton for this.
  • Reading MetroRiders After RTL: New photo of 624 with Manns Travel added. Thanks to Andrew Millwood for this.
  • Countywide Travel Fleet List: 37 has a new MegaRear for Oracle (Fashion & Taste) similar to Reading Transport 704/6 and First 64819. Thanks to James Cusworth for this. The rear was presumably applied at roughly the same time as it was at Reading Transport and First.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 35174 entered service in Nuneaton yesterday, unbranded. Two of the exLondon Darts are also due back from refurbishment this week. The B10Ms to be replaced by the new Darts in Leamington are expected to transfer to Nuneaton to replace step entrance Darts.

  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 35174 will be allocated to Nuneaton rather than Leamington for route 48. Thanks to Tim Moss for this. Witney 32625 has also been reinstated for use on training duties at Oxford temporarily, meanwhile 32626 made a very brief appearance on normal service work one day late last month, although generally it remains in use solely on training duties.

  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: A Renault van that has not previously been reported in the fleet now wears the W11 WAY mark. Thanks to Tom Male for this.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: Due later this month are 12 new Alexander Dennis Dart / Pointers for use on Leamington route X17 which is being enhanced to every 15 minutes from October. They will be 35174-85 registered KX56 KGZ/KHA-C/KGG/KGJ/KGK/KGN/KGO/KGU/KGV/KGY. Thanks to Mark Garrett and www.busnews.org.uk for the fleet details. 33822 lost its 5A/5B/5C branding back in late May.
  • Other News: Newbury Buses started operating a contract for Norma Products recently (on or about 24th August), numbered 3W the bus runs from Norma Product's Bone Lane depot to their New Greenham Park depot, but does not appear to be for general public use. Thanks to Paul Hilton for this.

  • Oxford Bus Company Fleet List: 807 has been refurbished and repainted in City 5 livery, entering service a couple of weeks ago. 603 has been sold to Go West Midlands to join 612, 603 having recently been on loan to Go North East. 971 has been sold to Robin Bennett for preservation.
