MANs in New Zealand

24-12-12

Thames Travel have been running a relatively unusual collection of vehicles on their services for the last couple of months now as a stop gap inbetween selling ten of their modern MAN / MCV Evolution vehicles and replacing them with Mercedes-Benz Citaros cascaded from Oxford Bus Company.

Nine of the MANs have been sold to Go Bus Transport, New Zealand through import manager Associated Coach Sales for operation from their Christchurch depot. The first to arrive on 22nd December was latterly 406 in the Thames Travel fleet. The vehicles are to head to bus builder Designline to have a rear door fitted to make them compliant with New Zealand regulations before entering service next year.
