February 2010 < Last Month | News Archive | Next Month > Closure of St Marys Butts 27-02-10 Following the snow and ice of December and January, and the continued cold spell through February, the repeated freeze-thaw cycle has caused a larger than normal number of pot holes to appear on roads all around the Country. Reading has been no different, and this weekend St Marys Butts has been closed for repairs with bus services diverted via Castle Street and the IDR to Friar Street. 154 on Castle Street, not usually served by Thames Travel vehicles. 1018 on Castle Street. 805 turning onto the IDR. 1007 heading down onto the IDR. 1103 turning out of Cheapside. Yesterday evening the junction of St Marys Butts and West Street was completely closed, so two temporary stops were located opposite stop CZ in Cheapside - one for route 17 and one for other services. For the rest of the weekend buses were able to serve West Street as normal. Staff were on hand in St Marys Butts and Oxford Road to advise customers about the relocated stops. < Last Month | News Archive | Next Month > |
